Meg Williams is the chief executive of World of WearableArt, the world’s most prestigious wearable art competition featuring the iconic annual WOW show in Wellington that attracts over 60,000 people each year and delivered $30 million to the regional economy in 2023. Meg has over 20 years’ experience in organising festivals and major events in the UK, Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, including the Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts, Wellington Jazz Festival and Te Hui Ahurei Reo Māori. She is the voluntary Chair of Toi o Taraika Arts Wellington, which supports creatives and creative organisations as members in the Wellington Region, providing advocacy on the key issues and opportunities for arts, culture, creativity and Ngā Toi Māori.
