Deanna Macdonald serves as the National Client Relationship Manager (Potakawaenga) for Aon New Zealand’s Local Government Risk Practice, based in Hamilton. With eight years of experience in providing insurance broking solutions to local governments across New Zealand, she plays a crucial role in the team.

Deanna is nationally responsible for service and strategic delivery, focusing on client relationships. Her role includes leading Aon’s annual National Council Forums, conducting workshops, and delivering presentations to Risk and Assurance committees, full councils, and senior leaders. She has also presented at the LGNZ conference, chaired sessions at the OAG Audit and Risk Forum, participated in Quarterly Local Government Strategy meetings, and contributed to various board presentations and sector leader groups.
